Wii Composite Cables
What are Wii Composite cables?
Wii Composite video output cables allow
you to connect the Wii to TVs with a single 'yellow' video phono jack
connector, and sound via the white and red phono jacks. Most TV's
including smaller sets will probably have at least one such input.
They can also be connected to a SCART socket via a 3-phono to SCART
adapter, as supplied with EU Wiis.
Composite cables provide the lowest
quality output from the Wii – the standard supplied cable is a
composite one.
Why would I want them?
Although the lowest quality output
option, it has the highest compatibility – all TVs will be able
to support this from your main set to smaller screened portables,
making them ideal for general use. On smaller screened sets in any
case, the difference in output quality will probably go unnoticed.
Composite would not be recommended for large (>28 inch) sets
however.
